who wore it better?
WHO WORE IT BETTER?:) LOL. Of course the top model on the left did. No doubt about that. (That's me on the right by the way.) Just minutes ago, I was browsing through random laptop files when I stumbled upon her photo which I grabbed from Sir Frederick Policarpio's site several months ago. If I'm not mistaken, it was from Sir Polic's Philippine Fashion Week collection. I was awed at the sight of it and somehow pictured myself then wearing it someday. The piece was FEMININE, CONTEMPORARY, REGAL, PERFECT. And lucky enough, just a week ago, I was privileged to have been given the chance to wear the exact same piece as I got onto the stage for my farewell walk as Ms. University. What a GLAM way to wrap up an amazing year.:) MY NEVER-ENDING THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO BECAME PART OF THE PAST BLESSED YEAR.<3 (I notice I've said thanks a little too many times already.. and I don't think I'd ever get tired of it.:D) Ciao! I'm supposed to be reviewing for exams, not blogging. XD Labels: blah, making sense, ms. Univ., photography, school 12.13.2009

Mood: fulfilled :D
Cute camera pendant from So Chic. It was just so mandatory for me to grab this as soon as I saw it hanging on the shelf. I can't NOT have this. No freakin' way.<3I've been really busy about lots of things lately. I promise I'll be blogging again seven to eight days from now.. If I don't keep my word I'll die ugly.. Or NOT. LOL.:D P.S. It's already mid-December but our Christmas tree is still packed away in its dusty box. I guess everyone in this house is just too busy. BOO. BTW, here's a photo of Dialogo I took last October. LOOVE it. ![]() Labels: blah, photography 11.28.2009

sometimes, you earn the right to rant
Last Thursday, the day I've been anxiously anticipating for weeks now has finally been over. You've guessed right if you thought of THESIS DEFENSE. The verdict? Passed with some revisions. Coolest thing ever.:D I will not go into details about the things I had to put up with during the whole process of doing the study because it'd be pointless by now. Now that I've finally gotten through it, I'm just glad to be able to say that I truly deserved passing because I know that I worked for what I've earned, as well as some other groupmates who stood by me. The rest of the group have the freedom to evaluate themselves too. I'm not putting myself in the position to judge others because it wouldn't be necessary. They know themselves well and they each know how they've performed throughout this whole thing. You can play apathetic but you can't possibly lie to yourself. So yeah. I believe I'm ranting again. But this is the very first time I've ranted about thesis stuff so give me a break. Anyway, being just in time for stress release, Thony was again invited by Dialogo to play for them at the SMB Battle of the Bands last Saturday night. Of course, being his official groupie, I was there to watch and cheer for the band. They totally rocked with "Message in a Bottle." :D I had fun at the event except for those times the emcee had to take over the microphone. No host could be grumpier than the guy they had that night. I think he had issues with some of the bands or something. But still. Dude, it's a "happy" event. No need to be all scroogy. I'm really liking this four-day weekend thing. It should be made regular. LOL.:D P.S. Hi to my friend Nico! Thanks for dropping by. You always make me laugh like mad. :) Labels: blah, making sense, photography, school, skool 8.28.2009
how to put yourself in trouble
Today, while BF and I were hanging out, I suddenly blurted out that I was crushing on a guy at school. Two seconds later, judging by his immediate reaction, I realized it wasn't a very good idea. Yeah, 'twas kinda stupid. At least I've been honest! Sure hope we'll just be joking about it tomorrow. I'd be damn lucky if that happens.XD * * * I edited this one a few days ago. It's amateur-ish but whatever, I like what it reminds me of. Photo was taken last summer at my grandma's old house just before the family had it demolished.
I got myself a new tumbler which means I will be drinking even more caffeine than I already am drinking.. I guess this also explains why I'm still up and blogging at 1am. I'm like, SO WIDE AWAKE right now. O_0 Labels: blah, photography, showbiz lovelife 8.21.2009
the product of procrastination
Ok, so yeah. I'm still alive. Surprise. On this not so very special day, I am officially blogging again. I'm needing some kind of inspiration to get me writing just like in the old days.. probably a pink sunset or something like that. Photo: a summer sunset from our backyard. A LOT has happened since my last blogpost. I don't even know where to start or if I'm even going to start trying to narrate at all. I feel kind of undecided these days. Undecided about I don't even know what. So yeah, this has been a totally random blog post and I think you just threw away 30 seconds or something of your life reading it. P.S. I didn't intend this to sound too sarcastic nor is my mood really that gloomy at all. I promise though that next time I shall sound more cheery.XD Labels: blah, photography 4.06.2009
kicking off summer
03.30.09 with Group 47 at the Anvaya Cove, Bataan.
A summer getaway.. just what our group needed before we officially start off with the thesis proper. It was a day that would remind us that we actually do love each other whenever we already feel like ripping each other's throats out because of the pressure we are surely about to face. ![]() ![]() ![]() This is not the first of our group's bonding episodes though. We've been finding ourselves out together a lot lately.. mostly procrastinating at Ate Jayzelle's house, at the mall or at some random bar 'til dawn. This group has definitely developed and is now very different from the group I saw on that very first day of the semester. They're not merely classmates to me anymore, they're real friends.:')Unfortunately, this blog has missed out a lot on this sem's most memorable moments. Maybe I'll try to write a recap just before I leave for the summer affiliation. I miss blogging. I miss a lot of things.. AND PEOPLE. Ciao! P.S. Can't wait to hit the beach again tomorrow with my dear girlfriends!:) Labels: blah, favorite people, photography, skool, trip 1.01.2009
the year that was
2008 was really kind, to me at least. I hope 2009 does the same for the rest of the world. HAPPY NEW YEAR EARTH!:] photos by kahriz and ynna. *** Btw, I spent the holidays with my first ever set of girlfriends (girlfriends since birth) : my sister Tin and favorite cousins Kahriz and Ynna. Too bad it'll be two more years 'til we see each other again. *** ..also had some quality family time during the break. Hope you did too! this is but random.
"I was aware of the time slipping away so quickly, like the black road beneath us, and I was hideously afraid that I would never have another chance to be with him like this again — openly, the walls between us gone for once. His words hinted at an end, and I recoiled from the idea. I couldn’t waste one minute I had with him." ----Bella Swan, Twilight Ok so I'm a fanatic. Leave me be. On a lighter note, I spent the whole day shopping with my sister. We both got new piercings. Haha. Trip lang. Had some coffee at Starbucks too. Then headed home and gulped down some alcohol.. just because we can't come up with anything else to do. BTW, had the pictorial last friday. The people were awesome.. that's from the photographers and their SLRs which made me drool, the director of photography, make-up artist, designer, stage parents and stage friends.:) Special thanks to Sir Poklong.:D And oh Nursing week was great too. Too bad I wasn't able to savor it coz I was busy with something else. Fck. I missed the games! Yeah I know it's loser-ish. I made it a point to be there at the acoustic sessions though.. Thony played guitar hero again. CON band rocked. Detailed post later, probably. Need some sleep right now. Nyt earth. Sleep well.XD Labels: blah, family, favorite people, ms. another one down. three more to go.
Well, it feels that way. I must say, nabitin ako. ![]() Anyway, like any other normal student I've also been longing for sembreak to come. But now that it's finally here, somehow it doesn't feel right at all. I've only spent one day of vacation at home and now I'm bored out of my mind. Feeling ko wala akong silbi. Hehe. I guess I've just been used to the toxic lifestyle. I'll miss III-4 (yung mga ka-close ko lang ehehe). P.S. Oh and about that previous post.. Yes, for some obscure reason and weird turn of events, I did end up getting into that Ms. Univ. pageant. Sshhh.. don't ask why or how. Anyhoo, finals night is on December. Well, I'm new at this thing so wish me luck! Hope I don't trip over or say something funny out loud.XD I can't believe it's October already. I've kind of been losing track of time lately. Ciao! Thursday live in Manila
May 30 '08. a Friday. I thought it was just another sluggish day... one of those days when I choose to be inefficient by sleeping all morning and all afternoon, waking up occasionally only to get something to eat. Good for me coz little did I know, later that night, I wasn't getting any sleep at all. That afternoon, I awoke from my sweet slumber at 4:00 p.m. and found a couple of messages on my phone, one of which is from my friend Ivan (better pronounced as Ayban) reminding me about that night's big agenda. OMG. I totally forgot. THURSDAY (for those who might be confused, 'Thursday' IS the band name), one of the bands I happen to worship was visiting Manila and their Makati show was scheduled that night (you'll find a line about this event on my recent post, just scroll down a bit and you'll see it). One reason why the event totally slipped off my mind was that I've already discarded any thought of ever being able to attend it days ago when I asked my mom once if I could go and her immediate and predictable answer was NO. But still, there was this pressing feeling within me which kept on telling me I wasn't supposed to lose hope. Ivan wasn't helping either, he bombarded me with nagging text messages, one of which goes something like:
I panicked. There I was, a kid whose brain is not functioning well from all that sleep, with less than 5 hours before the show starts, province/s away from the venue and not enough money to even buy a concert ticket and a bus ride home. The idea of even taking a shower and packing my things to go there was absurd and ridiculous. But to make the long story short, 30 minutes later, I was on the road to Thony's house to wake him up (apparently he was having a sluggish day too) and tell him we're going to Manila to watch Thursday, a band which he never even knew existed until then. He was furious at first (biglain ba naman ang bagong gising hehe). But being the supposed-to-be understanding boyfriend that he is, he had no choice but to come with me. BTW, don't ask how I got away from my mom and got the money. I happen to be brilliant when under pressure. lol. ![]() At around 7:00 pm, Thony, Ivan, Ivan's girl, and I hopped on a bus and our journey began. (Grr. ang dami ko nang nasulat pero nagsisimula pa lang ang journey. Tinatamad na ata ako. hehe.) We reached Makati at 9p.m. We had to do a great deal of walking before a cab finally picked us up from the street (thank u very much!). When we got to the A-Venue Hall (the venue), the show has already started, but only with the first front act which was April Morning Skies, immediately followed by Angulo. The crowd became more excited when Chicosci took the stage. Thony and I had a funny discovery that night: that we both have a crush on Miggy, Chicosci's vocalist. Wahaha. Kidding aside (or maybe I'm not kidding hehe), I thank Chicosci for playing 'Paris', one of my favorite songs from them. After their set, Typecast followed. I don't remember hearing them play any of my favorite Typecast tracks but I still like them anyhow. Watching them play their songs live as opposed to just hearing them from the radio felt surreal. They also had such good connection with the crowd, giving off a sense of euphoric madness.I'm not sure how long their show lasted but I, and I believe the rest of the audience too, wish they played longer. Anyhoo, I'm glad I decided to come on that trip. The ticket was worth every centavo of it (though I would've been happier if it were cheaper!hihi). The bouncers shooed everyone off when it was time to leave. We lingered around A-Venue for a while after the gig, eyeing some VIP's who came and went. We even got a peek of Miggy. Hihi kilig. We had yummy goto at an anonymous carinderia and some taho before we hopped on the bus home and touched hometown just before sunrise at around 4 am, exhausted but fulfilled. jeepney
So this is how they attack, the pangs of uninvited solitude. Unkind, relentless. pressing, not leaving. Streaks of blurry images, they roll by happily. Teasing, mocking me... emphasizing the emptiness that the next seat brings. Strange faces hop in and go. But your warm presence stays absent. Where are you? Sit beside me like you have before. How long shall this solitary jeepney ride go? ..my exaggerated thoughts while sitting alone in a jeepney. ann.04.26.08. ![]() Labels: making sense, photography, poetry 4.07.2008
what's left of a summer vacation
Hey there. I apologize for the not-too-long absence.. I've got one week before our summer classes start.. Might as well make the most out of it.. Oral defense for the CDx is finally over. Big whew. I wouldn't want to elaborate but to summarize how it went, let me quote Mr. Lagazon, one of our panelists and only the oldest (literally) and most "batikan" among all C.I.s in our college: "I must say that you did a very good work." Quite a bland and simple statement to quote.. but there really was something blissfully fulfilling with the way he said it. You should've heard it yourself. I'm so thankful that the panelists' decision for our work is not to start all over again, a verdict which other sections sadly got. ![]() But that's not the end of CDx. We still have a few revisions to do on it. Our house have constantly been the home of some classmates for a few days now. CDx has kind of taken over what was left of a summer vacation for me. But even so, I wasn't going to let it completely grab all opportunities to have fun. Duh. ![]() Starbucks at SM Clark has finally opened. And it's not helping at all with my coffee addiction. Haha. Thony, Red, Arren, Mitch and I hung out at the place after spending the whole day at my house patching CDx things up. Had fun. Coffee and friends never fail to make me happy.
We drove to the Camayan Beach at Subic to get some kind of timeout for all of us. The place is so damn "photogenic". ![]() On to other serious matters.. I've developed yet another addiction.. Something which I, like all other addicts feel toward their addiction, unfortunately but delightedly can't get enough of. BTW speaking of my guy, Thony's older brother purchased a handsome Toyota Vios. Now Thony, being the "sipsip" younger bro that he is, would of course be free to drive it around. Ok now I'm green with envy. Labels: blah, family, favorite people, muzik, photography, skool, trip |
