argh. what have i gotten myself into..?!

btw, last wednesday was our 19th month. hooray. and it was also the last day of final exams so after the 200-item anatomy test, thony and i headed over to the mall and watched "no reservations" to enjoy our first few hours of sweet freedom. the movie was indeed sweet.. but a little boring. thony actually wanted to watch "resident evil" but i refused. for now, i don't want more terror in my life just yet. anyway, while i was sitting my ass comfortably at the moviehouse, a classmate texted me saying our anatomy instructor needs me to go back to school..! and i was like now what?! ano nanaman kailangan niyo, walangya.. ayoko muna magbalik dun.

it turned out that my instructor has enlisted me to join the Mind Fest 2007, an annual quiz bee type of contest for the Nursing Days celebration of our college. there were 11 teams with one freshman, one sophomore, one junior and one senior student each team. i was the sophomore from team Peplau. the contest was held on the 18th, the day after i was informed that i'm actually a participant. i didn't even bother opening any book to review for anything at all. sawa na kong magreview. bahala na yung ka-team kong 3rd and 4th year. hehe.

team Peplau (ryan, ai, zenji and me) didn't get medals but we got Mac Arthur by Bob Ong (at may kasama pang tag price na nagsasabing P100 lang iyon) as consolation price for landing on the 5th place. i was ok with 5th place. at least we weren't eliminated on any of the earlier rounds at nakarating pa kami hanggang sa difficult round. besides, i wasn't even expecting to win at all. i went there with one eye closed. hmmm.. though i would have loved the medal too. hihihi.

joining mind fest now makes me a bonafide nerd. but i kinda like it. in general, it was a fun experience. being surrounded by smart people made me feel like i'm one notch smarter. haha.

after the mind fest, i went around the city (literally) with peachy and joan. foodtrip! sa wakas nakakain na rin ako ng chicken mami after days of craving for it! we also saw this carnival at nepo quad which always appears there at around this time of the year. in high school i used to pass by the place everyday on my way to h.f.a. and now i miss that. oww. i think we're going there tonight to try some of the rides. here's a shot.

we also hugged a lot. like we always do.

what a beautiful way to end a semester.

oo nga pala, lumipat ng bahay sina thony. akala ko naman babalik na sila sa manila. ngayon pala sa kabilang kanto lang. ang layo naman.
